2015 Calendar of Events

JANUARY

Dinner Dance

On Saturday January 24, 2015, escape Cabin Fever and celebrate with us. Live music will be provided by Paul Sluser from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Doors open at 5:00 PM. Dinner served at 6:00 PM. Dinner choices are: Kassler Rippchen with mashed Potatoes and Sauerkraut or Stuffed Chicken Breast with mashed Potatoes and Mixed Vegetables and dessert at $23 per person. Walk-ins are welcome for music and dancing a $6 per person. For reservations, please call 518.439.5932. All of our events are open to the public!


FEBRUARY

Valentines Sweetheart Dinner-Dance

On Sunday, February 15, 2015 treat your sweetheart to an afternoon of dinner, dance, and drink at the German-American Club of Albany. We feature live music provided by the Mountain Brauhaus Band from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Doors open at 1:00 PM. Dinner served at 2:00 PM. Dinner choices: Mixed salad, Pork Tenderloin with potatoes, green bean almondine or Lasagna with Meat Sauce and dessert. Cost $23/person. Walk-ins are welcome for music and dancing at $6 per person. MARCH

Irish Night “Shamrocks & Sauerkraut”

On Saturday March 14, 2015, after the parade keep your green on and join us at the German-American Club of Albany. This month we feature live music from Herbie Liebenhagen from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Doors open at 4:30 PM. Dinner served at 5:30 PM. Dinner choices will be: Corned Beef and potatoes, cabbage & carrots or Cornish Hen. Irish Soda Bread and Mint Chocolate Ice Cream for dessert. APRIL

Dinner Dance

On Saturday April 11, 2015, join us for an evening filled with good music and food. This month we feature live music provided by Paul Sluser from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Doors open at 4:30 PM. Dinner served at 5:30 PM. Dinner choices: Mixed salad, Rouladen or Chicken Cordon Blue served with potatoes, red cabbage and dessert. Walk-ins are welcome for music and dancing at $6 per person. Dinner Dance

On Saturday May 16, 2015 enjoy an evening of German dinner and drink at the German-American Club of Albany. Doors open at 4:30 PM. Dinner served at 5:30 PM. Dinner choices : Mixed salad, Goulasch or Chicken Caccitore, Spaetzle, green bean almondine and dessert Cost $23/person. Live music: DBA. Walk-ins are welcome for live music and dancing at $6/person. JUNE

Father’s Day Picnic at the German-American Club of Albany

On Father’s Day, June 215, 2015, treat your Dad to an afternoon of honor at the Schuetzenpark Biergarten on the grounds of the German-American Club of Albany. Schuetzenpark is a large pine tree shaded grove and is the last outdoor Biergarten remaining in the Capital District. This month we feature live music by the Schwarzenegger Connection. The park opens at 1:00 PM. Entry is $3 per adult, children under 12 are free! Tasty German food and drink are available for purchase as well as domestic food and drink. Children’s activities include a parade. In the event of rain, the event will be moved indoors in our large banquet hall and barroom. For further information please call 518.482.5845. JULY

Old Time German Day Picnic at the German-American Club of Albany

On Sunday July 19, 2015, 1-7 PM, rain or shine, enjoy German food, drink, and live Ompah music at the Schuetzenpark Biergarten at the German-American Club. Schuetzenpark is the last remaining outdoor Biergarten in the Capital District. All of our events are open to the public. We feature live music from the Mountain Brauhaus Band. AUGUST

German Summerfest at the German-American Club of Albany

On Sunday August 23, 2015, check out Schuetzenpark’s last summer picnic at the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street. We are open to the public! Schuetzenpark is a large pine tree shaded grove also the last outdoor Biergarten in the Capital District. Live music from the Mountain Brauhaus Band. The park opens at 1:00 PM. Entry is $3 per adult, children under 12 are free! Tasty German and domestic food and drink are available for purchase. Children’s activities include a parade. On Sunday October 18, 2015 enjoy an evening of German dinner and drink at our Oktoberfest. Live music by the Mountain Brauhaus Band 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Doors open at 1:00 PM. Dinner served at 2:00 PM. Dinner choices: Sauerbraten or Chicken in mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, red cabbage or mixed vegetables and dessert. Cost $23/person. Christmas Bazaar

The Ladies Auxiliary of the German-American Club of Albany are hosting a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday November 14, 2015. Doors open at 10:00 AM. Delicious German-American Christmas treats will be available for purchase along with vintage and gently used Christmas decorations and items. Sportler Dinner at the German-American Club of Albany

On Sunday November 15, 2015, honor the Capital District’s soccer players from years past in the banquet hall of the German-American Club of Albany. Doors open at 1:00 PM. Dinner served at 2:00 PM . Christmas Party at the German-American Club of Albany

On Sunday December 13, 2015 get into the Christmas spirit and celebrate the holiday season at our Christmas Party. We feature live music by the Mountain Brauhaus Band from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
