August 15th 2021 German Summerfest

Enjoy German food, drink, & music on Sunday, 15 August 2021, at the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street, Albany when we host our German Summerfest Picnic. Park opens at 12 noon. Tasty German and domestic food and drink are available for purchase. Live music provided by Gregory Reinwald and his Brauhaus Band. $3/person. All of our events are open to the public.

German-American Club of Albany re-opening!

The German-American Club of Albany is re-opening on Friday, 05 March 2021! We decided to close temporarily due to the Covid19 pandemic. We hope that everyone is healthy!

Below is our menu for March. Please note that the first two dates in March are take-out only. Reservations will need to be made by calling Carolyn at 518.396.5421 beginning on Wednesday from 9am through Friday at 3pm or until sold out.

  • Friday, March 5th,  (Take out only) Jägerschnitzel-tender pork cutlets in a mushroom hunter’s sauce, red cabbage, spaetzle. Served with a cucumber salad and home-baked dessert.
  • Friday, March 12th, (Take out only) Chicken Fricassee (or à la King) on a bed of rice pilaf and green beans. Served with a green salad and home-baked dessert.
  • Friday, March 19th, St. Patrick's Day, our return to indoor dining with a take out option. Corned Beef & Cabbage, Parsley Potatoes, Carrots, Irish Soda Bread, and Irish Rice Pudding.
  • Friday, March 26th, Beef Rouladen, traditional braised stuffed beef with a rich gravy, Red Cabbage, Spaetzle, Served with a Cucumber Salad and home-baked dessert.
  • Friday, April 2nd, Good Friday, Tender Breaded Fried Fish with Cole Slaw and Fried Potatoes, and home-baked dessert.

Zigeunergeschnetzeltes - Thinly Sliced Pork in paprika and dark beer sauce with peppers and onions over buttered Egg noodles with seasonal vegetable.
