2012 Calendar of Events


Wurstfest
On Saturday January 21, 2012, escape Cabin Fever and celebrate with us on the “Wurst Night of the Year” at the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street, Albany where we will be serving a hearty German Wurst Dinner Platter and German Bier is always on tap.  Live music by Paul Slusser.  Doors open at 4 PM.  Dinner served at 5 PM.  Our Wurst platter will include one Bauernwurst and one Bratwurst, Rye Bread, German Potato Salad, Sauerkraut, Potato Pancakes, and Apple Sauce at $20 per person.  All dinners are served with a green bean salad and dessert.  For reservations, please call 518.489.0831 or 518.265.6102. Valentines Sweetheart Dinner-Dance
On Sunday, February 12, 2012 treat your sweetheart to an afternoon of dinner, dance, and drink at the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street, Albany. We feature live music by the Mountain Brauhaus Band. Doors open at 1:00 PM.  Dinner served at 2:00 PM.  Dinner choices are Cornish Hens with rice, stuffing, and glazed carrots or Lasagna with meat sauce.  Garden salad and dessert included.  Cost $20/person.  Walk-ins are welcome for music and dancing at $6 per person.  For reservations, please call 518.489.0831 or 518.265.6102. Irish Night “Shamrocks & Sauerkraut”
On Saturday March 17, 2012, after the parade keep your green on and join us at the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street, Albany.  This month we feature live music from Herb Liebenhagen.  Doors open at 5:00 PM.  Dinner served at 6:00 PM.  Dinner choices are Corned Beef and cabbage or a Hungarian Chicken entrée.  Cost $20/person.  Irish soda bread and dessert included. Schnitzelfest
On Saturday April 14, 2012, get your German on at the German-Amwerican Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street, Albany with our Schnitzelfest.  This month we feature live music from Paul Slusar.  Doors open at 5:00 PM.  Dinner served at 6:00 PM.  Dinner choices are Jaeger schnitzel (pork) or Chicken schnitzel entrées.  Cost $20/person.  Salad and dessert included. Bierfest
On Saturday May 19, 2012 enjoy an evening of German dinner and drink at the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry St., Albany at our German Bierfest. Doors open at 5:00 PM. German Lagers, Pilsners, Bocks, and Hefeweizens will be available. Dinner served at 6:00 PM. Dinner choices are German Goulash or Chicken Cacciatore and vegetable at $20/person. Father’s Day Picnic at the German-American Club of Albany
On Father’s Day, June 17, 2012, treat your Dad to an afternoon of honor at the Schuetzenpark Biergarten on the grounds of the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street, Albany.  Schuetzenpark is a large pine tree shaded grove and is the last outdoor Biergarten remaining in the Capital District. This month we feature live music from the Schwarzennegger Connection. The park opens at 1:00 PM. Entry is $3 per adult, children under 12 are free! Tasty German food and drink are available for purchase as well as domestic food and drink. Children’s activities include a parade. On Sunday July 15, 2012, 1-7 PM, rain or shine, enjoy German food, drink, and live Ompah music at the Schuetzenpark Biergarten at the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street. Schuetzenpark is the last remaining outdoor Biergarten in the Capital District. Christmas Bazaar

Sportler Dinner at the German-American Club of Albany

New Year’s Eve Party
